Warranty Policy
What we cover on the equipment and the installation, and how to raise a claim.

1. Two separate warranties
Every installation carries two distinct warranties: the manufacturer's warranty on the equipment, and our own warranty on the workmanship of the installation.
The exact term for each component and for the workmanship is stated on your quotation and repeated in your handover pack. Keep both — they are the reference documents for any claim.
2. Equipment warranty
We specify Tier-1 modules, inverters and batteries, and the manufacturer's warranty passes to you as the system owner.
Solar modules typically carry both a product warranty and a separate performance warranty, which guarantees a minimum output percentage over a stated period. Inverters and lithium storage carry their own terms, and storage warranties are commonly bounded by cycles as well as years.
Where a component fails within its warranty, we handle the claim with the supplier on your behalf.
3. Workmanship warranty
We warrant our own labour — mounting, wiring, sealing and commissioning — for the period stated in your project contract.
If a fault is traced to how the system was installed rather than to a component, we return and correct it at our cost within that period.
4. What is not covered
Damage from misuse, or from operating the system outside the load profile it was designed for.
Unauthorised modification, repair or extension by anyone other than our technicians.
Lightning, flood, fire, storm, theft, vandalism and other events outside our control — these fall to your insurance rather than to warranty.
Normal cosmetic wear, and gradual output decline that remains within the manufacturer's stated performance curve.
Faults arising from grid conditions, or from third-party equipment we did not supply.
5. Keeping cover valid
Keep to the maintenance intervals in your service agreement. A system that has not been serviced as specified may have a claim reduced or refused by the manufacturer.
Do not allow untrained parties to open, rewire or extend the system.
6. Making a claim
Contact us at info@akilinova.co.ke or +254 719 638 128 with your site details, the date of commissioning, and a description of the fault. Photographs help.
We inspect before any replacement is authorised. If the fault is covered, we repair or replace; if the inspection shows it falls outside cover, we will quote for the repair before doing any work.
